Basic Guide to Power Level Summoning - by Dudefish_15.
Hey everyone, this is going to be a rough guide to help you get on your feet with summoning, I know how hard this skill is to train, but you have to keep at it in order to be successfull!
200,000,000 coins might seem like alot for 99 summoning, this is incorrect, if you alch your pouches past Honey Badgers, you're aiming for around 100,000,000. HALF THE COST (more or less) of summoning.
This still seems like alot, no? There are many ways to make millions of GP a day, all you need is patience!
I myself, kill Spiritual Mages (83 slayer, Dragon Boots). That's 400,000 per boot! Get 12 drops in afew hours, that's enough shards for afew levels, correct?
RIGHT, now to the summoning part.
What you need to do, is find monsters that drop CRIMSON CHARMS. These are going to be your best friend, blue charms are handy, but rare as hell.
Now, it will take HOURS to get charms, be patient! You can't power level this skill without determination. I don't power level it purely because I like to chat with friends etc >_< but you get the point.
MAKING POUCHES.
Monsters that may cost 90+ Shards to make, and have raw materials such as coal, herbs or any other easily made resource, are what you are going to power level with.
The experience WILL GET BETTER, so ride it out, have patience and good luck with raising Combat!
(Like I said, rough guide huh.)
HINT: TO GET CHARMS ALOT LOT EASIER, TRAIN SLAYER TO AROUND 80. It sounds hard, but it pays off! Trust me on that!
Ok, now onto the monsters that I MYSELF use, and find easy to get charms from. You may well have your own spots, I myself choose these (I will add written places to the bottom).
Monsters that drop charms:
WHERE: Karamja Dungeon.
Moss Giants, for the noobs. I highly reccoment you don't kill these.. Though I guess you guys gotta have something huh. They drop the occasional charm.
Greater/Lesser Demons, for the semi-noob. These do drop some nice charms, not that often though, but they have crimson, green, and gold. Lesser demons, I'm not so sure about.
Black Demons, for very experienced players. These monsters WILL drop charms, but unfortunately, not as often as one would hope. Mellee prayer and prayer armour IS reccomended.
DRAGONS. As far as I know, ALL dragons drop charms. I would stick to metals, but NOT Mithril Dragons. Ignore me being stupid in these pics, just adding abit of lame humour to the guide.
Now we move.. To the Slayer Tower!!
Infernal Mages, not much to be said, wear dragon hide, not what I'm wearing. They drop charms.
Bloodveld. Again, wear dragonhide, these are a GREAT source of green charms.
Gargoyles, a pain in the rear, I hate these things, BUT they drop blue charms.
Nechryael. These things are nice and easy to kill, AND they can be killed in multi. Crimson charms to the max.
Ok, we're done with the slayer tower. NOTE: THERE ARE MULTI VERSIONS OF ALL THESE THINGS, Chaos tunnels are GREAT, if you want to waste even MORE money on this skill! Please don't point out the Chaos Tunnels + Bursting, I think it's a huge waste.. But then again, if you want levels fast, I guess its pwnage.
NOW, onto my favourite part of the charm world.
Run right when you enter, you will come to Waterfiends! These are ONLY FOR THE HIGH LEVELS. Do NOT go to these if your combat is under 116, there is a HUGE chance you will die.
Watch your prayer, watch your health. They are weak to CRUSH attacks, guthan has a CRUSH option, use it at all times. (sorry people who want no def exp, this place is not for you ;< )
Final Notes.
OTHER MONSTERS YOU CAN KILL FOR CHARMS:
Hellhounds, Giant Rock Crabs (Mage or Verac), Rock LOBSTAZ!!! (Mage), Dust-devils.
There are plenty more monsters out there that drop charms, I am aware, but these are the monsters I reccomend you kill.
